北京时间周日晚上，为期三周的环法落下帷幕。闭幕战上演了精彩壮观的集体冲刺场面，比利时车手格特-斯蒂格曼斯力压众高手夺得了冠军，身披黄衫的卡路士.沙洛跟随主车群安全抵达终点，加冕了车手总冠军。 今天是本届环法大赛最后一站的争夺，从埃坦普到巴黎香榭丽舍大道全程长143 km，是一个平地赛段。经过前面二十个赛段激烈、残酷的角逐后，今天所有的选手都抛弃了紧张的情绪，很轻松的骑在大集团中与其他车队的车手聊着天，充分享受着骑行时带给他们的乐趣，这似乎也快成了环法大赛不成文的规定。 在同胞汤姆-布南缺阵的情况下，斯蒂格曼斯承担起了快步车队夺冠的重任，他今天的表现也证明了自己的实力，哥伦比亚车手希奥勒克获得第二，费雷里位居第三，麦克伊文和胡舒伍德分获第四和第五名。
“真是太不可思议了！我们终于收获了一个冠军，很高兴我拿到了这个迟来的冠军，”斯蒂格曼斯赛后接受欧洲体育采访时表示，“我们为最后一个赛段保留了体力，今天完全释放出来了，过了最后一个弯角速度非常快，但是距离终点只剩100米时，我知道冠军已经成为了囊中之物。”
CSC车队的西班牙名将卡路士.沙洛身穿黄色领骑衫登上了最高领奖台，埃文斯和科尔分别落后了58秒和1分13秒排在第二和第三名。奥斯卡-费雷里轻松获得绿衫，象征山地之王的圆点衫则被科尔夺走，而代表最佳年轻车手的白衫穿在了安迪-舒里克身上，CSC车队赢得了今年的车队冠军。
