北京时间周三晚上，环法结束了有着“魔鬼赛段”的第17赛段。效力于CSC车队的西班牙爬坡名将卡洛斯-萨斯特里以巨大优势夺得了冠军，同时披上了黄色领骑衫。 第17赛段从埃姆布到惠斯山，全长210.5公里，是本届大赛第二个经过阿尔卑斯山的赛段，包括三个最高级别的HC级爬坡积分点，其中爬坡路段有60公里，也是本届环法大赛难度最大的赛段。刚刚进入最后一个HC级爬坡点，萨斯特里便一马当先甩开其它车手，独自冲在了最前面，充沛的体力让竞争对手们只能望其项背，最终以6小时07分58秒率先抵达阿尔普迪埃的终点。桑切斯和安迪-斯奇勒克落后了2分03秒分列第二和第三，瓦尔韦德和弗兰克-斯奇勒克落后2分13秒排在第四和第五，埃文斯、门乔夫和科赫等人落后了2分15秒。
总成绩榜上，萨斯特里独占榜首，领先了第二名弗兰克-斯奇勒克1分24秒，科赫落后1分33秒位居第三，埃文斯落后1分34秒排在第四，门乔夫第五，落后了2分39秒。
明天的第18赛段从布格多娃山谷到圣埃蒂安，全长196.5公里，是一个中等山地赛段，总冠军的最终悬念恐怕得等到第20赛段的个人计时赛才能揭晓答案。
